Malcolm grew up in Stoke on Trent and now lives in Great Wakering. He's been painting most of his life, has a degree in Graphic design and is also a qualified Graphics and Art teacher in schools and teaching adults. He loves using acrylics as they allow him to work quickly and dynamically, and achieve colourful and vibrant brush strokes to express his subject matter. He takes inspiration from the impressionists, post impressionists and David Hockney. Malcolm's work has been exhibited in various galleries across Essex and he appeared as a wild card entrant on Sky's Landscape Artist of the Year.
